OPINION ESSAY: DO YOU THINK RECYCLING IS BENEFICIAL FOR THE ENVIRONMENT?

Dear students,

Here you have 3 example compositions. Thank you Byron, Valerie and Chaimae 💜😘!

Example 1:

Nowadays, a lot of waste is thrown into the ocean every day. Pollution has been increasing in the last years and it has become a worldwide problem.

In the first place, animals are the first which suffer from this. Pollution is destroying their habitats and a lot of animals are endangered, like otters and seals. Furthermore, we are affected by the consequences too, if people keep increasing pollution, global warming will become even more dangerous, and a lot of places will be isolated.

That is why recycling is important and beneficial for the environment. We can help by reusing objects made of plastic, such as bottles or bags. Also, we will save some money. In addition to this, if big companies take care of the environment, pollution could decrease.

In conclusion, we have to take care of our planet because it is our only home. A lot of people think that this problem is not real and important and do not affect them, but that is not true, every single person is affected. You just need to take a look at the air that you breathe every day.

Example 2:

Recently, studies have proved that pollution is damaging the Earth in a terrible way. 80% of the people, throw waste to the ocean, causing pollution to increase. What should we do about it?

In the first place, we all should know what the problem is. Why am I saying this? Basically because some people think that throwing trash to the ocean it's not a big deal and it's not really important. Secondly, it should be known that animals are also suffering because of this. For example, pouring oil into the see kills and hurts a lot of animals. Moreover, all the industries that pollute the atmosphere and the environment in many ways should also be stopped. I'm not saying that they need to shut down their companies, the thing is that they have to find a healthier way to decrease the enormous amount of pollution.

To sum up, we all should be more concerned about the planet we are all living in. We have to be more united to fight this cause because its important for all of us to live happily and healthy.

Example 3:

Recycling is one of the best ways to improve the environmental problems that are currently happening in the world, such as pollution which leads to climate change, weakens the ozone layer, affects many natural habitats, etc. So YES, I firmly believe it is actually beneficial for the environment.

There are a lot of reasons why we should recycle more: it can help us with our health because pollution affects the air we breathe and it can cause us respiratory problems, headaches or worse, so if we start to increase recycling we can beat pollution. What's more, reusing some materials also helps the environment and it is so easy, you do not have to throw away everything that you use, I mean, if you have paper left over, you can use it for your pets' house, to make crafts, etc. However, if you do not know what to do with it, make sure you put it in the correct dumpster, and the same with other materials like glass, plastic... For instance, the idea of making shoes from ocean waste is one of the greatest ideas I have ever seen because we are cleaning the oceans and we actually use it to make something useful.

In short, due to the fact that we are suffering from all of these problems because of us, we all need to contribute in recycling to do us and the following generations a favor.
